MEL and slower moments
Usefulness is not only about speed. A good thing can also be useful because it helps a moment slow down, gives attention somewhere to rest, or makes an ordinary pause feel intentional.
MEL lives in that part of JUS. Chocolate, coffee, and the small rituals around them do not solve urgent problems. They make space. They remind us that care can be practical even when its purpose is pleasure.
We approach MEL with the same restraint we bring to software and services: fewer choices, considered materials, and details that do not need a speech to justify themselves.
Some things help us move. Others help us stop. A useful life needs both.
